WaterStone Bank SSB is participating in the Transaction Account Guarantee Program.
Under the program, through June 30, 2010, all non-interest bearing*** transaction
accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account.
Coverage under the Transaction Guarantee program is in addition to and seperate
from the coverage available under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules.
WaterStong Bank SSB does offer sweeps on its accounts and therefor your funds may
not be covered under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program. To determine whether
the funds are covered you must look at the type of account the funds were transferred
to.
***Non-interest bearing transaction account is defined as a transaction account
with respect to which interest is neither accrued nor paid and on which the insured
depository institution does not reserve the right to require advance notice of an
intended withdrawal. It also includes a NOW account with a rate equal to or less
than .50%.
