Wauwatosa Savings Bank would like to thank everyone who shared their opinion on a new name during the month of February. By sharing your opinion on your favorite name you are a part of Wauwatosa Savings history. The results are in! We will officially become WaterStone Bank, SSB sometime mid-2008.

Why did you decide to change your name?

As we expand geographically to other communities, “Wauwatosa” does not clearly define our intentions to be a community bank in all the communities we serve. With the potential for us to expand further in the state and across state borders, we need a name that helps us gain acceptance in a new community.

Historically, Wauwatosa Savings focused primarily on acquiring CDs and providing mortgages in the communities we serve. Over the past two years, Consumer Loan products, Business Banking products and services, and expanded Mortgage and Deposit products were introduced that have allowed Wauwatosa Savings to be a full service financial service provider rather than a traditional savings bank. The goal is to have a name that will better reflect who we are, what we offer, and the strength in our capital position.

When is the bank name change going to happen?

We are hoping to have the bank name changed sometime in 2008. Continue to read the Lamplighter and visit WSBonline.com for updates.

How is it going to affect me as a customer?

The name change will not affect you as a customer. The products and customer service you currently enjoy will not change due to the name change. The name change provides us with the ability to more easily add products, services, and branch locations, ultimately providing customers with more convenient and attractive banking options.

Do I (customer) have to sign anything or do anything because you are changing your name?

No, there are no new forms to sign, no change in account numbers, and you can continue to use your current checks and CheckCard. As these items are re-ordered, they will reflect the new name.

Will you still be FDIC insured?

Yes, we will remain FDIC insured to offer you the security you deserve.

I have direct deposit/withdrawal: Do I have to let anyone know about the name change?

No. Your account number and routing number will not change; therefore you do not need to notify anyone at this time.

I have Online Bill Pay: Do I have to change anything?

No. Online Bill Pay will remain the same.

Will your Web site address be changing?

There will be no change with the Web site address for the time being. If it changes, the current address will redirect you to the new address for a period of time.

Are you changing the Holding Company name?

We will most likely change the Holding Company name. It will be determined when the new bank name is determined, but may not be implemented at the same time.

We will continue to keep you well informed on any upcoming changes. Please watch for updates on WSBonline.com, in the Lamplighter, and in your mail.
