Children's Privacy: KIDZ Privacy Online
Today, because children are using the Internet extensively, the question arises: Who is protecting the privacy of their personal information online?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) provides a website called KIDZ Privacy that describes a relatively new law, effectively April 21, 2000, that regulates collecting information online from children and protects their privacy by requiring parental consent. It explains what website operators are required to do and what parents can do to protect their children's information online.

The website www.consumer.gov provides a quick link to the KIDZ privacy homepage, or you can access it directly by clicking here.
