We Recognize and Respect Customer Privacy Expectations
Consumer privacy is an important public concern. Generally, surveys have found that
American consumers express concern about the use of their information and how technology
is used to collect and distribute that information. WaterStone Bank SSB recognizes
the importance of this issue to customers and the important role it plays in their
trust and confidence in our bank. Our privacy policy is based on recognition of
and respect for the privacy expectations of our customers.
Information We Collect About You
We collect nonpublic personal information about you from the following sources:
- Information we receive from you on applications or other forms,
- Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates, or others,
- Information we receive from a consumer-reporting agency,
- Any information we collect through an internet "Cookie", a collection device from

No Disclosure Outsite of Exceptions
We do not sell any public or nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third
parties for any purpose. We do not share any public or nonpublic personal information
with anyone except as defined in this disclosure or permitted by law.
As provided by law certain disclosures of information to nonaffiliated third parties
will trigger an opt out provision. Since we do not share with nonaffiliated third
parties customers do not need to opt out.
We use the information only to the extent necessary to carry out our daily business
activities and to provide services and other opportunities of interest to our customers
and former customers.
As permitted by law we may disclose nonpublic personal information we collect to:
- Affiliates such as Waterstone Mortgage Corporation
- Nonaffiliated third party companies that perform services on our behalf or to other
financial institutions with whom we have a joint marketing agreement.
In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act:
- We will not use information collected from our Affiliates to make solicitations
regarding products or services.
- We prohibit our Affiliates from utilizing information disclosed to them to make
solicitations to you regarding products or services.

of the account information in order to serve the customer.

We train and educate our employees on the importance of maintaining customer trust

A fundamental element of maintaining an adequate level of customer privacy is to
provide reasonable protections against the unauthorized disclosure of or access
to customer information. We employ elaborate systems and procedures to ensure the
security and integrity of customer information. We have always been vigilant in
our management of customer privacy. The challenges of providing customers access
to their information via the Internet are managed with the most up-to-date network
security systems, including firewalls, encryption and intrusion detection.
