Updated Regulations

On September 18, 2009 WaterStone Bank will be required to comply with new rules that affect the posting and processing of International ACH transactions (IAT). Any ACH transaction processed by a financial entity outside of the United States and its territories (whether incoming or outgoing) is considered an IAT.

Due to these rules WaterStone Bank has decided not to process outgoing IAT transactions after September 17, 2009. If you need to originate an outgoing transaction to a country outside of the United States and its territories as an alternative you can utilize wire transfer (fees for wire transfer apply).

After September 17, 2009 incoming IAT transactions maybe delayed in being posted to your account due to required OFAC matching responsibilities placed on financial institutions. WaterStone Bank will take every effort to post your transaction as soon as it is received.
